We love kiteboarding and everything about it. With The Kite Zone you become part of a family and build life long friendships. Our students come back year after year to kite with us, keep on learning, get advice on purchasing the right gear and where to go on their next Kite Vacation!

Cache Basave, owner of The Kite Zone began kiteboarding in 2005, fell in love with the sport and became an instructor in 2007. He is involved with the local community in Bucerías and Riviera Nayarit and collaborated in the organization of El Festival del Viento since 2010 which is a national event that brings kiters from all around Mexico to participate in an amateur competition. He is also a member of the AMK (Mexican Kiteboarding Association) geared towards promoting kiteboarding instruction in Mexico. In 2012 he began course racing and has competed in the North American’s Championship in San Francisco and The World’s in Cagliari, Italy, and China.
